Top comedian Jason Byrne to bring new tour to The Lemon Tree

Comedy genius Jason Byrne will return to Aberdeen in October with his brand new show, Jason Byrne is “Propped Up”.

Dublin-born Jason will bring his inimitable style to The Lemon Tree on Friday, October 7, with tickets available from Thursday (March 24).

Back with his usual warmth and high-energy style, fans can count on Jason incorporating plenty more props and silly humour this time around. Recently on his British and Irish tour, the funnyman re-introduced his prop-comedy mixed with his stand up and audience participation – and audiences everywhere loved it. In fact, they wanted even more – giant ducks, rubber hands, owls, big wooden pegs and amazing magic stunts – and Jason promised to deliver. You might even get a glimpse of a mouse with moustache!

APA programmer Doug Taylor, who curates the comedy programme, said: “Fans of Jason Byrne will be thrilled to hear he’s been working on his hilariously inventive prop-comedy mix once more, and we’re intrigued to see what new tricks he has up his sleeve. Jason has been to the Music Hall in Aberdeen in the past and we’re looking forward to welcoming him to The Lemon Tree. This is a great opportunity to see Jason in an intimate setting, but tickets will undoubtedly go quickly.”

It’s been a busy few years for Byrne, who has performed in New York, Boston, Hong Kong, Singapore, Brussels, Milan, Paris and Australia. Alongside his growing international profile, Jason’s Radio 2 show was awarded the UK radio industry’s prestigious Sony Radio Gold Award. As well as fronting a brand new studio based comedy chat show, Jason Byrne's Snaptastic Show, for TV3 in Ireland, he is co-host of Sky’s hugely popular new entertainment programme Wild Things on Sky1.

The comedian has also been seen on Live at the Apollo (BBC1), The Royal Variety Show (ITV1), The John Bishop Show (BBC1), and Father Figure (BBC1), of which he is creator and star.
