Usually seen catching unlucky contestants on ITVs tea-time quiz, The Chase, The Sinnerman aka Paul Sinha is not immediately recognised as a funnyman.
But his new show Paul Sinha is a Stand-up Comedian was one of two announced by Aberdeen Performing Arts today coming to the citys Lemon Tree this winter.
He will play the city centre venue on Sunday, December 7, as part of a UK tour and multi-award winning funny-man Marcel Lucont will stage his multimedia mélange of magnificence there on Friday October 24.

Famed in his iconic role of Marcel Lucont, a French expert on love, funnyman Alexis Dubus is an English alternative comedian and actor. He is a member of the sketch troupe Cat of the Week and host and promoter of Falling Down With Laughter comedy club in London Bridge, voted London's Best Small Comedy Club in the 2008 Chortle Awards.
His 2008 show at the Edinburgh Fringe won a Three Weeks Editors' Award as one of their Top 10 Fringe experiences and has appeared on Sky Atlantic's Set List, BBC3's Russell Howard's Good News and Live At The Electric.
An English GP of Indian descent, and a less-than-successful contestant on Mastermind, The Brain of Britain, The Weakest Link and University Challenge The Professionals, Paul Sinha has been making his name in the world of stand-up comedy for more than a decade.
He began performing stand-up while working as a junior doctor in hospitals in London and King's Lynn. In 1999, he was runner-up in the final of the Hackney Empire New Act of the Year.
After several years of combining touring with his medical career, his breakthrough came with his second solo Edinburgh show, Saint or Sinha?, which earned him an if.comeddie nomination in 2006.
In 2013 he appeared in the Comedy Central UK show The Alternative Comedy Experience, having performed at gigs all over the world and staged eight solo shows.
As well as being nominated for the highest accolade in live comedy at the Edinburgh Festival, Paul also been nominated for the Breakthrough Act, the Best Headliner and the Best Club Comic (twice) by respected industry magazine, Chortle. Winning the latter in 2014.
He is best known for being a Chaser in the ITV game show The Chase, which he joined in 2011.
