True North 2016

This year's True North – Aberdeen’s festival of music and song – will take place between Friday 23 - Sunday 25 September 2016 and promises to be bigger and better.

The event will carry a theme of “women and song” and will explore the nature of the female voice and feature gigs with a host of top names, upcoming talent along with panel discussions and workshops.

Our approach to the programme this year will include:

  •  Headline artists who haven’t appeared in Aberdeen previously
  • Asking artists to appear at gigs to curate events or collaborate across the weekend
  • A variety of international artists
  • Performances exclusive to Scotland
  • Support slots and opportunities with local musicians
  • Build on the strong reputation of True North as an up and coming urban festival
  • Create a truly memorable event for the audience.
