APA Young Company aims to give aspiring theatre makers aged 18-25 an opportunity to develop their skills, share practice, gain industry experience and take control of the artistic process. This is a brand new project for 2019 and we are looking for experienced, reflective and adventurous young artists to help shape the company and drive it forward.
Why APA Young Company?
We aim to nurture independence and artistic leadership, encouraging increased responsibility for professional development. You will have the opportunity to work alongside a small group of likeminded young theatre-makers on projects designed and directed by you. You will be supported by one of APA’s experienced drama facilitators, have the opportunity to take part in professional training and development and have access to bespoke work experience and shadowing opportunities across the organisation.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for Young People, aged 18-25 with an interest in working as an ensemble to create interesting, vibrant high quality performances, taking responsibility for all aspects of the production process. While performance skills are essential, we would be particularly interested in those wishing to develop further skills, for example in directing, writing, technical or design. Experience is preferred however commitment, a willingness to learn and experiment and an ability to work as part of an ensemble is essential.
