Stage is set for new music as Lemon Tree shows announced

Multi award-winning, world-renowned artists, legendary local favourites and cutting edge new music are among the treats in store for music fans as a string of new shows go on sale for the Lemon Tree today.

Among the newly announced shows are Albert Lee & Band, who come to the Aberdeen venue on Tuesday, October 4. Acclaimed as one of the finest guitarists the world has ever seen, double Grammy Award winner Albert Lee is also an accomplished piano player and singer.

Join us for a night of incredible music from up and coming Scottish singers Linzi Clark, Rhona Macfarlane and Rachel Jack! Linzi Clark has been building her legacy from a young age and was included in Vic Galloway’s “One To Watch” list, Rhona Macfarlane is known for reflective, vulnerable story telling casting a spell over her audiences and Rachel Jack graduated from the Paolo Nutini song writing scholarship.

Lemon Tree favourites The Bloody Marys take to the stage on Saturday, 17 December. Billed as Aberdeen’s funniest tribute act, expect hits from the likes of ABBA, Mariah Carey, Take That, Queen, Kate Bush and more.

The Comet is Coming will bring their blend of jazz, electronica, funk and psychedelic rock to the Lemon Tree on March 2, 2023. Their hypnotic music has been described as the true heir of cosmic pioneer, Sun Ra.

Undisputed creators of Rockgrass, Hayseed Dixie, will play the venue on 10 March, 2023.

The band have evolved into a proper force, one that most people either love, hate, or have never heard of. There isn’t really any middle ground, nor should there be. There are many copycats, converts, and disciples out there. Accept no imitations.

Tickets for all of these shows are on sale today (Friday, 12 August) from www.aberdeenperformingarts.com, phone (01224) 641122 or visit the box office at the Music Hall or His Majesty’s Theatre.
