Saturday 13 April
St Machar's Cathedral
This April, join with two of Aberdeen's finest musical groups for a special performance of Handel's Messiah. Under the musical direction of Gareth John, Con Anima Chamber Choir and Aberdeen Chamber Orchestra will join together for the performance in the stunning setting of St Machar’s Cathedral. The performance will also feature a stellar line-up of Scottish vocal soloists - Judith Howarth (soprano), Heather Ireson (mezzo-soprano), Liam Bonthrone (tenor), and Ross Cumming (bass). Two hundred and sixty years after Handel’s death, the masterpiece continues to be one of the best-loved and most powerful oratorios ever written.
