All About People
Enter an immersive experience at the Music Hall, presenting ‘All About People’, commissioned by Grampian Hospitals Art Trust. This project was first conceived in 2020 with Aberdeen Performing Arts and NHS Grampian Archives to celebrate the ‘Joint Hospital Scheme’, which was a pioneering plan that brought together public health services and medical education in one location, eventually becoming what is now Foresterhill Campus. Through the project archival material relating to the hospital scheme and Aberdeen have been explored and used collaboratively by artists Graeme Roger, Lucie Treacher, Chris Lee, Lynne Strachan and Aberdeen Performing Art’s Youth Theatre, creating an engaging and uplifting body of work.
The ‘All About People’ installation will feature a mixture of sound, imagery and performances inspired by the community at Foresterhill, sharing the stories and people from the past and celebrating the city and its achievements.
Coinciding with the Light The Blue Youth Arts Festival which celebrates creative output from young artists across the region, there will be an imaginative and entertaining ‘All About People’ performance, created and delivered by the artists involved in the ‘All About People’ project on Thursday the 16th of June at 6pm in the Music Hall.
Jason Singh
Nature-Beatboxer Jason Singh will be performing a 15 minute set of vocally created music inspired by nature, soundscapes and rhythms from around the world.
