An indie pop-funk band from Aberdeen, The 101 incorporate a classic funk element into upbeat indie music. Taking influence from bands such as Bad Suns, Two Door Cinema Club and CHIC, the band have had sessions on STV, BBC Scotland and were named 'Starlets To Watch in 2018' by Jim Gellatly alongside being voted 'ones to watch' at The Pride-of-Aberdeen Awards.

This comes from the success of singles 'Not you but me' and 'Cliché', both released in 2017. Following a successful year, being publically voted the ‘Ones to Watch’ at the Pride of Aberdeen Awards, along with a live appearance on STV, the band have been championed as ‘Starlets to watch in 2018’ by renowned radio DJ Jim Gellatly, alongside the likes of Callum Beattie, Lewis Capaldi and Dancing on Tables. Accompanying this, the band have obtained continuous support from Spotify, being included in global playlists The Indie List, Hot New Bands and Release Radar. The band's up-and-coming reputation sees them going into the new year both optimistic yet enthusiastic for what lies within the next 12 months.
