After seven years of crafting 'loud, melody-driven rock songs with punk hands and a pop heart', local favourites Watchfires return to the Lemon Tree for their final gig, having decided that it was time for this particular good thing to come to its end.

Setting out to write sad rock songs you could dance to back in 2013, Watchfires released EP 'A Quiet Rebellion' after a couple of months together, and quickly developed a reputation for their energetic, melodramatic live shows.

Rather than turning out an endless stream of EPs and singles, Watchfires set about writing and recording their debut album. 'Ribbons & Shards' was self-released in 2015 to minor critical acclaim from the likes of Vic Galloway and Jim Gellatly, and was followed by a slew of live shows the length and breadth of the country.

From those riotous pop-punk origins, the Watchfires sound developed in to something altogether darker and more atmospheric over the years, culminating in the release of second full-length record, 'A Quiet Rebellion' in 2017.
This last show will see Watchfires play a mix of tracks from across their releases - including none other than the 15th best song of 2015, as named by the Herald - and provide one final chance for a sad, sweaty dance.

Support comes from local heroes Forest Fires and Falkirk's finest indie export, Ghostwriter.
