National Poetry Day – Writing for the Environment: Poetry Workshop with Dr Katie Ailes

To mark National Poetry Day 2022, Aberdeen Performing Arts have invited Dr Katie Ailes – poet, dancer and producer of I Am Loud Productions – to deliver a poetry workshop on the theme ‘writing for the environment’.  Join Katie in a cosy space curated just for this workshop.  With our environmental impact in mind, everything around us is a source of inspiration for writing.  

This workshop is suitable for writers of all abilities, from seasoned performance poets to those who have yet to write their first poem.  Workshop content is geared towards generating new poems for performance, and there will be an opportunity to perform at our showcase on Sunday 6^th October.  If you would like to attend the workshop but would prefer not to perform, you are very welcome but please let us know in advance by emailing hanna.louise@aberdeenperformingarts.com.  This is to ensure we have enough participants to perform at the showcase.
