‘Colours dance, moods swing and Chen’s artistry blazes,’ says The Times, but you don’t need to take their word for it – come and hear for yourself as the RSNO welcome dynamic young superstar of the violin, Ray Chen, back to Scotland. Together with Music Director Thomas Søndergård, he braves the fire and ice of Sibelius’ Violin Concerto. First, though, there’s a surprise performance from the young musicians of Big Noise Torry and afterwards the songs, dances and Czech sunshine of Dvořák’s joyous Sixth Symphony.
