Still

Emma Fuhrmann in collaboration with Andrew Meechan

  • 08 Sep–11 Sep 2022
  • Aberdeen City Centre

Overview

Still

Mastering Stillness, or making up a space to be within yourself during chaos is not an easy feat for anyone. The concept of “Still” or a “Still Stop” is a sensory garden or temporary “Urban Nature Walk” in the city for people who need that reflection or space. The artist’s inspiration came from the urban landscape when nature took over during the summertime in Lockdown. As we adapt to life after the Pandemic, some, or if not all, of us, are healing as well as growing and might need a moment of “Still”.

Searching for knowledge that cannot be reached? in the heart, it can be seen. Sit awhile, I do beseech and gaze at the stars, the water and the flowers with me – Still by Emma Furhmann

“I hope this space can give solace to those who still need time” – Emma Furhmann
