Call Out - Eat the Rich Stage Manager

About the role:

Aberdeen Performing Arts and Sanctuary Queer Arts are seeking an experienced Stage Manager to co-ordinate the rehearsal and production of Eat the Rich 3, a queer cabaret taking place at The Lemon Tree (Aberdeen) on Friday 1st March 2024.

The role will involve two days of in-person work on Thursday 29th February (rehearsal) and Friday 1st March 2024 (performance) plus one additional day’s preparatory work (remote).

Eat the Rich will feature seven artists each doing a ten-minute performance. Performance styles span drag, music, dance and spoken word. The Stage Manager will be responsible for ensuring that both rehearsal and performance run on time and that there are smooth transitions between each act.

Fee: £150/day plus reasonable travel expenses and accommodation if travelling for the role.

 

About you:

We are looking for a candidate who identifies as part of the LGBTQ+ community. You will have experience of Stage Management in a theatre setting. You will be a good communicator with excellent organisational and time management skills.

What happens next?

Interviews will take place week beginning 29th January 2024. The successful applicant will attend preparatory meetings with the production team and cast in early February ahead of the rehearsal and performance days.
