Overview

Fiona Kennedy and Friends

Fiona Kennedy and Friends take to the Tivoli stage this November, in a special homecoming performance — the last leg of Fiona’s Scotland-wide tour and also her first performance on this stage since she was a little girl.

Fiona’s father, the world-renowned Gaelic singer Calum Kennedy, once owned this landmark Aberdeen theatre, famously attracting 12,000-strong audiences each week in one year alone!

Almost 60 years later, Fiona hopes to capture the magic of those glory days of variety performance with a versatile programme of beautiful Scottish and Celtic favourites, swinging jazz, emotive country ballads and self-penned get-up-and-dance pop numbers.

She will be joined on stage by a host of talented musician friends including fiddle maestro Paul Anderson, guitarist and songwriter Nils Elders, local all-male choir Granite City Chorus, multi-instrumentalist and producer Ali Napier, accordionist and bandleader Frank Thomson and singing harpist Irene Watt.
