FIONA KENNEDY ‘BACK AGAIN’ WITH OCTOBER TIVOLI DATE
Scottish singer Fiona Kennedy returns to the Tivoli Theatre stage this autumn following her sell-out show at the end of 2022.
The well-kent entertainer grew up steeped in the singing tradition of her father, the famous Calum Kennedy and she too is a versatile songwriter and performer whose music spans Scottish, Americana and popular music genres.
The curtain opens on ‘Back Again’ on Thursday 5th October, with Fiona Kennedy joined in concert by a host of talented musical friends — some long-term collaborators and others who she will perform with for the very first time.
The line-up includes Aberdeenshire’s fiddle maestro Paul Anderson, Guildhall-trained jazz pianist Neil Birse, guitarist and songwriter Nils Elders, multi-instrumentalist and producer Ali Napier, accordionist and renowned bandleader Frank Thomson and the singing clarsach player and folklorist Irene Watt. Some of the North East’s top community choristers, the Mearns and Deveron Singers, complete the bill.
