See BBC Breaking the News star Jay Lafferty host the show alongside Eleanor Tiernan (Comedy Central, Stand Up for Live Comedy), Susan Riddell (Breaking the News, BBC Short Stuff), Marc Jennings (The Comedy Underground, Breaking the News) and fresh from Live at The Apollo, A League of Their Own, Mock The Week, and the Last Leg, the one and only Maisie Adam.

Maisie Adam
Maisie’s comedy career kicked off in 2017, when she entered the nationwide So You Think You’re Funny? competition (which has previously been won by many of her comedy heroes, including Peter Kay, Aisling Bea, and Tom Allen). Before she knew it, she found herself with a place in the Grand Final, held at the Gilded Balloon up at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and on 24th August she won the competition, becoming only the 4th woman to have done so in its’ 30-year history. The following year, Maisie was nominated for the Best Newcomer award at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards for her debut show ‘Vague’, where she also won the Amused Moose National Comic Award.
Maisie’s anecdotal material and witty charm have quickly won her praise up and down the country and she has since appeared on Mock the Week, Have I Got News for You, QI, Roast Battle, 8 Out of 10 Cats, Hypothetical and The Stand-Up Sketch Show.
Jay Lafferty

Sought after for her on point satirical views Jay Lafferty has become a regular face on BBC Scotland’s television channel. It was a performance on BBC’s Breaking The News that saw Lafferty hit the front page of The New York Times for her on point description of Theresa May’s catastrophic handling of the Brexit deal. Her Edinburgh Fringe 2019 hit solo show Jay Lafferty: Jammy was made into a BBC Radio Scotland three part series – Jay’s Jammy. During the pandemic alongside the rest of the world Jay took her work online performing comedy all over the world from the comfort of her living room while continuing to be a regular voice on BBC Breaking The News.
Marc Jennings
Scottish comedian Marc Jennings is one of the country’s brightest new comedic talents. Marc is a regular panellist and writer on BBC Scotland’s satirical news show Breaking the News, has appeared on the new stand-up series The Comedy Underground (BBC Scotland) and BBC Radio 5Live’s Fighting Talk.
Marc sold out his entire run at the Edinburgh Festivals in 2019 & 2022, and recently sold-out the King’s Theatre during the Glasgow International Comedy Festvial. Marc is a winner of the Scottish Comedian of the Year competition, is the host of the Some Laugh podcast and clips of his stand-up have amassed millions of views online, garnering hundreds of thousands of followers.
Susan Riddell
After winning a place in BBC Writer’s Room Fast and Funny, Susan Riddell went on to write, create and star in several online comedy sketches for BBC Short Stuff which have garnered nearly 3 million views and counting. Susan has supported Fern Brady and Ardal O’Hanlon on tour, and is a regular on topical BBC radio panel show Breaking the News (BBC Radio Scotland). Most recently she had her sitcom Dregs filmed for BBC iPlayer as 3 mini episodes, commissioned by BBC Scotland.
Other writing credits and acting roles include C4 and BBC’s Ones spoof cop show Scot Squad. She also wrote a humorous weekly column for The Daily Record newspaper for around two years.
Eleanor Tiernan
Comedian and writer Eleanor Tiernan has featured on Stand Up For Live Comedy (BBC3), Comedy Central’s The Alternative Comedy Experience and she has supported acts including Iliza Shlesinger, Stewart Lee, Tig Notaro, Ardal O’Hanlon, Jason Manford, Jason Byrne and Reginald D. Hunter. She has been a panellist on BBC Radio 4’s News Quiz and Where’s the F In News? and The Blame Game (BBC Northern Ireland). most recently Eleanor appears in Holding, a new TV adaptation of Graham Norton’s debut novel.
