The Speakers

Anna Cheung

Anna Cheung is a poet based in Glasgow. Her debut poetry collection, ‘Where Decay Sleeps’, was published by Haunt Publishing.

She has been published in literary magazines such as Banshee JournalGeist, DreichKoening ZineZarfand Dusk and Shiver

Anna also has forthcoming publications with Edinburgh Literary Salon and the British Fantasy Society and is currently working on her second poetry book.

She was highly commended by the Forward Prize in 2022.

Katalina Watt

Katalina Watt is published in magazines and anthologies including Haunted Voices, Unspeakable, Reclamation, and Extra Teeth.

They were Longlisted for Penguin Write Now 2020, awarded a 2021 Ladies of Horror Fiction Writers Grant, and 2022 Ignyte award-winning founding Audio Director for khōréō magazine. She is represented by Robbie Guillory at Underline Literary.

Eliza Chan

Eliza Chan is a Scottish-born speculative fiction author.  Her short fiction has been published in The Dark, Podcastle, Fantasy Magazine and The Best of British Fantasy. Her debut novel FATHOMFOLK — inspired by mythology, ESEAN cities and diaspora feels — will be published by Orbit in Spring 2024. Find out more on her website www.elizachan.co.uk.

Arusa Qureshi

Arusa Qureshi is a writer and editor based in Edinburgh, with a particular focus on music, diversity and accessibility within arts and culture. She was formerly the Editor of UK entertainment and events guide The List, and her work has appeared in Bella Caledonia, gal-dem, the Guardian, GoldFlakePaint and more. She is also on the board of the Scottish Music Centre and in the Scottish Music Industry Association’s Advisory Group.
