Overview
We’re taking over Bon Accord Centre’s Roof Terrace with an afternoon of free, pop-up activity for young people and their families. Featuring performances from Unicorn Dance Party and The Dab Hands.
Pop-Up will also feature performances from young people including groups from Citymoves Dance Agency and Academy Of Expressive Arts.
Please Note: Performances will take place in an outdoor, uncovered location and may involve some movement around the Roof Terrace. Come prepared for the weather!

Unicorn Dance Party

Sparkling unicorns Melody and Luna are looking for new pals, and they’ve heard there are some unicorns in your area! They’re throwing the best dance party ever, with easy-to-follow dance moves and the ultimate playlist of everyone’s favourite tunes, from Katy Perry and Fred Astaire, to Basement Jaxx and Queen. Join them to shake your tails and move and groove to some rockin’ jams! With glittering costumes and visual pizazz, this interactive outdoor show will unlock the joy within us all.
The Dab Hands

The Dab Hands are a vibrant and daft piece of walkabout theatre. They are a giant colourful light-up hands offering playfulness, colour, music, dance and non-verbal interaction – a multi-sensory invitation to play for all ages.
About Light The Blue
Light The Blue is an exciting festival happening in June for young people, by young people. Taking place across Aberdeen city centre, the festival will bring family, teenagers and emerging artists together for a series of gigs, theatre, film, workshops and much more for a great chance to learn and have fun.
